How to apply for a loan
Here is a summary of the process for approval of the loans and the way to get the subsidy paid.
What the customer has to do:
1. Decide which product(s) you want to get the loan for.
2. Visit suppliers on the approved list and compare prices.
3. Get an offer from the supplier for exactly what is required, making sure that all the catalogue numbers match the list of approved products, and that it covers installation and guarantee. The supplier should know how to help you with this.
4. Take the offer to the bank and fill in the bank’s own loan application and the EnergoCredit application form (on both sides).
5. Wait for the bank to get approval for the loan and transfer the money to the supplier. The approval should only take 2 days.
6. Arrange for the supplier to supply and install the product. This must not take more than 4 months or you will not get the subsidy.
7. When the work is complete, sign the Acceptance Form provided by the supplier, agreeing he has done the work properly and take it to the bank.
8. As soon as the bank has completed their paperwork, (this may take 5 days) the subsidy will be paid into your bank account.
9. You can choose to pay off some of the loan or keep the money on your account.
Note: In some cases visits will be made to your home to check the quality of the work.
